For the correct mounting of the door the minimum doorhead height for doors opened manually should be Nmin = 220 [mm], for doors driven with a manual chain hoisting winch Nmin = 220 [mm], for doors driven with the AW drive unit (mounted centrally under the ceiling) Nmin = 270 [mm], for doors driven with a side compact motor operator Nmin = 220 [mm]. Minimum widths W1 min and W2 min required for mounting the door depending on the way of drive used are given below.

In the case when the doorhead height is smaller than Nmin it is indispensable to mount an upper bar covering a part
of opening clearance, whereas in the case of values W1 and W2 being smaller than minimum, the guide frame will be partially visible in the opening, or it may be necessary to mount vertical steel posts on both sides of the opening to make the driveway smaller. As a standard on both sides, 20 [mm] in the driveway black rubber seals are visible; they provide door tightness.

Depending on the doorhead height HANDLOPOL AB company proposes the following types of sectional door lead (mounting):

  • LH low lead, used with doorhead height Nmin = 220 ÷ 420 [mm] or larger. With this way of lead and with the minimum doorhead height when the door is open, the drivway height is about 50 [mm] smaller. Required minimum room depth Emin=HO +1000 [mm].

Textruta: Fig. 5

  • STL standard lead, used with doorhead height Nmin = 420 ÷ 600 mm or larger. Required minimum room depth Emin=HO+750 [mm].

Textruta: Fig. 6

  •  HL high lead, used with doorhead height above 600 [mm]. Required minimum room depth Emin=HO - N+105 [mm].

Write one of the symbols: LH, STL, HL, VL in the column "lead"

Number of cycles

As a standard springs balancing the weight of the door coat are accommodated to perform 20,000 cycles (opening - closing), on request for an extra charge it is available to select springs appropriate to perform 50,000 cycles. Write "20" on the order form in the column number of cycles if you order a typical execution or "50" if you order a spring selected for performing 50,000 cycles. If there is no appropriate marking the order is considered to be for a typical execution.

Is there an additional entrance

Number of door opening cycles will be influenced by the fact whether the room is provided with an additional entrance or not. If there is no additional entrance to the room, it is recommended to make an entrance wicket in the door. Write "yes" or "no" on the order form in the column "is there an additional entrance".

Wall

Depending on the execution sectional door may be fixed to the walls made of reinforced concrete (B), brick walls (C)
or walls made of steel frames (S). In the order give the exact data concerning the wall execution as well as the wall thickness. The room dedicated to the mounting has to be completely finished (walls plastered, floor finished), the walls cannot have the traces of defects of execution. The room has to be dry and free from chemicals harmful for paint coats.

Wicket

In doors higher than 2750 [mm] and wide from 2750 up to 5000 [mm], it is possible to make an entrance wicket door opened to the outer, standard opening direction is right. On request it is possible to make a wicket with the left opening direction. Wicket door opening inner dimensions are 800 x 1850 [mm] or different at the individual request. The way of determining the wicket door opening direction is shown in Fig. 9 following.

Textruta: ROOM
Textruta: Left wicket gate (FL)
Textruta: Fig. 9
Textruta: Right wicket gate (FP)
Textruta: ROOM

As a standard the wicket is mounted in the middle of the door. In you order state if the wicket is to be installed in the door and the direction of the wicket opening according to the above figure. If there is no marking in the column "wicket door", the door will be made without wicket. On request it is possible to fix the wicket on the door side, this type execution is always to be consulted with HANDLOPOL AB company.

Glazed panels

Sectional doors up to 5500 [mm] wide may be fitted with small windows glazed with a double acrylic panel. Window clearance is 250 x 550 [mm]. Taking into account MakroPro door construction glazing cannot be fitted in the lower and upper door panels, in all the remaining cases windows may be built in. The following table shows maximum numbers of glazing in one segment depending on the door dimensions.

Give the number of glazed panels and the number of windows in one panel in the order.

On request it is possible to mount in the door fully glazed panels made of "cold" aluminum sections glazed with double acrylic panel. Glazed panels are made in standard height 500 [mm] and 610 [mm], it is also possible to make panels with any height within the range 500 ÷ 610 [mm]. Glazing inner width depending on the door width is 500 ÷ 900 [mm], while
its inner height is 380 ÷ 490 [mm]. As a standard panels are made in natural aluminum colour (anodised). On request in doors in colours RAL 9002 they may be painted on both sides in colour RAL 9002. In the event of standard panel one-side repainting, glazed panels can be painted on one side, the other side remains in colour of natural aluminum. In the event of standard panel two-side repainting, aluminum panels can be also repainted on both sides. A view of an aluminum panel and a door with such a panel built-in are shown in Fig. 11, 12. Give the information whether to use panels with windows in the table. In notes state the information whether to use the fully glazed panels.

Colour

MakroPro sectional doors as a standard are made of panels in colour RAL 9002 (white). Optionally, on request panels may be painted in any colour from the RAL palette (eggshell gloss surface). Give the colour of the panels from the outer side "Z" and from the inner side "W" (inside of the room) in your order in the column "colour".

Lock, way of opening

Depending on your needs the door may be equipped with a bolt (R) or a lock (Z) with a key. In the order in the column "lock" determine the way of closing the door (R or Z) as well as on which side of the door (right (P) or left (L) looking from inside the building) the lock (bolt) and the handle for manual lifting the door are to be fixed.

Electric control

We offer a couple of ways of door driving depending on the mounting conditions and door size:

  • manually without support - R - (recommended for small doors whose overall dimensions do not exceed 3000 x 3000 [mm]),

  •  manually using a chain hoisting winch - W

  •  with AW drive unit mounted centrally under the ceiling - US - (recommended for garage doors, in such a case an additional entrance to the garage is indispensable, or a wicket in the door, or providing a special drive unit allowing the door emergency opening from outside). This drive may be applied only for doors with LH mounting.

  • with a compact motor operator - SK - (recommended for industrial doors, in such a case an additional entrance to the room or a wicket in the door are indispensable).

Additional equipment of the electric drives may be remote control using transmitters and photocells, protecting the door from closing when there is an obstacle in its clearance. Specify the chosen way of door driving, and in the case of electric drive give the information if you wish the remote control (if so, additional transmitters can be ordered - there are two in standard). Important information is also on which side of the door, looking from the room inside, the supply source is (left - L or right - P). Information concerning the supply source position determines on which side the compact motor operator driving the door is to be installed, as the motor operator as a standard is installed on the same side of the door where the supply source is.

On request MakroPro sectional doors may be equipped with an optical safety bar. If you wish to order the safety bar, state it in the column "NOTES" on the order form. In this case it is recommended to make an individual agreement with HANDLOPOL AB company.

Doors from the tabel (price list p.8) with exception of doors from shaded boxes are equipped with a standard devices protecting the coat from falling down if the relieving springs or the ropes on which the door is suspended have broken.

Both of these devices lock the door in a safe position in the case of a break-down. In doors with small overall dimensions (doors marked blue in the price list), on request it is possible to mount the above mentioned safety devices. Dimensional ranges of doors in which such safety devices are applied in standard are in the price list of HANDLOPOL AB company sectional doors. From the point of view of safety these devices are recommended for application in all types of doors. Give the data concerning installing the safety devices in notes on the order form. Give the possible additional requirements concerning the door execution on the order form in the column "NOTES".
