LIST OF
QUESTIONS to let you order properly a BR-100 roller door
-
What is the
opening inner width (SO =)?
-
What is the
opening inner height (HO = )?
-
How high is
the doorhead (N =)?
-
What are the
distances between the opening and side walls - (W1
= ;W2 =)?
-
Glazed
sections - yes or no and how are they to be placed?
-
Is there an
additional entrance to the room where the door is to be fixed?
-
Is a full
driveway height required?
-
What colour
is the door to be?
-
What is the
wall the door is to be fixed to made of?
-
On which side
of the door, looking from the garage inside, is the supply source?
-
Is the door
to be equipped with the remote control and photocells?
-
If so, how
many additional transmitters?
-
Light
signalling - yes or no?
-
What is the
required way of opening the door?
BR-100
roller doors are made at the individual request, with the dimensions covered
by the cross-hatched field in the following drawing. These doors may be
mounted in openings with maximum dimensions 8000 x 6000 [mm] (width x
height). Doors for not covered openings by the cross-hatched field may be
made only upon the prior agreement with
HANDLOPOL company.

In Fig. 2
required mounting dimensions indispensable for the correct door selection
and execution are shown

Minimum widths
of side space required to fix the door W1 min and W2 min are given in Fig.
3.

For the correct
door fixing, a doorhead is indispensable for mounting the console, minimum
doorhead height depends on the opening height. Required doorhead heights for
doors type
HANDLOPOL BR-100 are in table 1.

As a standard,
when the door has been fully opened there are about 2 coat sections left in
the opening clearance, thus the driveway height is about 200 [mm] smaller
(figure 4).

On
request it is available to make the door higher so as the driveway height is
equal to the opening height. Then the required minimum doorhead height is
appropriately (see the table given below):

If you order
the higher version of the door, state "yes"
in the column "full driveway height". If not
filled in, it indicates the door in standard version.
Sections in
glazed version may be used in doors type
HANDLOPOL BR-100 in order to light
better the room. These sections are not provided
with heat insulation. Examples of placing sections with windows are
given in the following figures.

State the
number of glazed sections in the order and show in the enclosed drawing at
what height from the floor level they are to be fixed in the door coat
(example of a drawing illustrating the way of glazed sections location
marking is given below), if you do not wish glazed sections, put sign
"-" in the column. It is not recommended to
use glazed sections in the upper part of the door, in the distance smaller
than 1 m from the doorhead.

Is there an additional entrance
When mounting
BR-100 doors an additional entrance to the garage is required. Write
"yes" or "no" on the order form in the
column "is there an additional entrance".
If there is no such entrance it is not available to
mount such a door.
AW aluminum
sections are made in standard colours: RAL 5012 (blue); RAL 8019 (dark
brown) and RAL 9010 (white).
As a standard
sections and guides of a given door are made in the same colour.
Depending on
the execution
HANDLOPOL BT-100 roller doors may be fixed to the walls made
of reinforced concrete (B), brick walls
(C) or walls made of steel frames
(S). In the order give the exact data
concerning the wall execution as well as the wall thickness. The room
dedicated to the mounting has to be completely finished (walls plastered,
floor finished), the walls cannot have the traces of defects of execution.
The room has to be dry and free from chemicals harmful for paint coats. Too
much dampness in the object may have a negative impact on the door operation
and its durability, and even lead to the door damage.
HANDLOPOL
BR-100 roller doors as a standard are equipped with an electric drive with a
three-phase compact motor operator operated manually from the inside of the
room. On request it is available to provide a switch-off for the key fixed
outside the room.
Additional
equipment of the electric drives may be remote control using transmitters
and an automatic door closing. Photocells are installed as a standard in
each case of using remote control or automatic closing, protecting from the
door closing when there is an obstacle in its clearance. Automatic closing
causes that the door is automatically closed after
a determined
time set in the controller. Write "yes" on the order form in the column
"automatic closing" in the case of ordering
a control with the automatic closing.
Specify the
number of additional transmitters (there are two in standard) in the order
when you order the remote control. Write on which side of the door, looking
from the room inside, the supply source is (left - L or right -
P). Information concerning the supply source
position determines on which side the motor operator driving the door is to
be installed,
as the motor operator as a standard is installed on the same side of the
door where the supply source is.
In BR-100
industrial doors it is recommended to apply the light signalling letting to
know if the door is open or closed. The signalling device sends green light
if the door is open, whereas when the door is closed or in motion the
signalling device sends red light. Write "yes"
or "no" on the order form.
Optionally, on
request it is available to install an optical safety bar. If you wish to
order the safety bar, state it in the column
"NOTES" on the order form.
When the
electric control is damaged or the power supply cut off it is possible to
open the door manually using a mechanism driven with a hand-crank, fixed at
the motor operator driving the door at a height approximately equal to the
door height.
In doors driven
with AF-170 or AF-250 motor operators as a standard the crank length matches
the door height. On the other hand, there is no such a possibility in doors
driven with AF-450; that is why, taking into account a substantial door
height and possible emergency of opening the door, it is recommended that in
each case there be a ladder fixed to the wall on the side of the motor
operator driving the door, or free room left making possible to put a
stepladder.
Write possible
additional requirements concerning the door execution on the order form in
the column "NOTES".
Fig. 7 shows a
BR-100 roller door and specifies the basic sub-assemblies of this door.
